Guadalajara No. 6 - Woman in a Black Dress

Guadalajara No. 6 - Woman in a Black Dress

Last of the series.  My skinny, red-haired alter ego with a big red kittycat.

Guadalajara No. 5 - Man with Yellow Dog

Guadalajara No. 4 - Man with Yellow Dog, 8x8 inches, acrylic on panel

He's a city kind of guy, walking his city dog in a city dream.

Guadalajara No. 4 - Woman in a White Dress

Guadalajara No. 4 - Woman in a White Dress, 8x8 inches, acrylic on panel

Guess who likes cats?  That girl with the red hair and the Berthe Morisot dress.

Guadalajara No. 3 - Woman in Rattan Chair

Guadalajara No. 3 - Woman in Rattan Chair, 8x8 inches, acrylic on panel

A few of my favorite things, all in one painting!  Rattan furniture, cats, dresses.  And the mysterious city waiting outside the window.

Guadaljara No. 2 - Callejon

Guadalajara No. 2 - Callejon, 8x8 inches, acrylic on panel

Dreaming on life in the city.  "Callejon" is Spanish for alleyway.

Guadalajara No. 1 - Man with Blue Dog

Guadalajara No. 1 - Man with Blue Dog, 8x8 inches, acrylic on panel

This is the first in a series I did while planning to move to Guadalajara in search of cheaper rent.  Fate intervened and I ended up not going, but I had the time of my life doing these paintings based on my fantasies of it.

Creature Feature - Iconic Feline

Iconic Feline, 8x8 inches, acrylic on panel

It's the gold paint that makes this kitty iconic.  I used to think metallic paints were gimmicky, until one day I fell in love with them.  Gold paint -- it's magic in a tube!
